The pumice does the structural and thermal heavy lifting. It insulates naturally, which means flue gases reach optimum temperature faster after lighting, the fireplace hits peak performance sooner, and the heat lingers longer as the fire dies back - all of which reduces condensation and soot build-up over time. It's the same material logic that underpins Schiedel's full chimney range, CE-marked and built to the highest EN standards, just applied to something you cook on in the garden.

Granite worktops run across the full width, giving you a proper outdoor prep surface that handles heat, weather, and years of use without deteriorating. The back panelling and doors are pressure-treated tanalised redwood pine, preserved with Tanalith E - not the kind of timber that warps after its first winter, but the kind that looks better for having been outside. A 500x300mm grill cooking area sits within the structure, and the base plate for log storage is included as standard. Available as a left hand or right hand configuration, the two units are designed to pair together into a single, cohesive outdoor kitchen setup.
