The Schiedel Isokern 500 Garden Fireplace is a stylish, practical addition to your outdoor space. Designed with natural volcanic pumice from Iceland, it offers excellent insulation, keeping heat focused in the fire chamber while the outer surface remains cooler and safer to touch. Perfect for smaller gardens, patios or courtyards, it delivers warmth, atmosphere, and the flexibility to cook outdoors.

This modular kit includes everything you need for assembly:

• Volcanic pumice chimney blocks and firebrick panels

• Mortar, lip glue, and render for finishing

• Log retainer and BBQ grill for outdoor cooking

With external dimensions of roughly 685 mm wide, 440 mm deep and 1855 mm high, the Isokern 500 is compact enough for tight spaces but offers a generous firebox opening of around 510 mm by 540 mm. Weighing approximately 360 kg when built, it is sturdy and built to last.

A standout feature is its modular design. You can add extra chimney blocks to increase height, choose a freestanding look, build it against a wall, or even set it on a raised plinth. The included render can be finished however you like, so it can suit your garden style.

Assembly is straightforward thanks to clear instructions and the lightweight nature of the pumice blocks. A solid, level base is recommended - ideally a 100 mm reinforced concrete pad - to ensure stability.

Optional extras are also available, including extra chimney sections or log store units to expand and customise your fireplace over time.
