The Forest Retreat is a fully insulated glamping pod kit designed for year-round comfort and energy efficiency.

Designed and manufactured in Britain using Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), you're guaranteed durability and  high thermal performance for many years to come.

Its modern design makes it an ideal choice for higher end glamping sites, eco-resorts, or luxury retreats, but can also be used in a garden with it's customisable design making it multi-functional.

  • Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs): The Forest Retreat includes 98mm thick SIPs for the floor and walls, and 122mm panels for the roof, offering high strength and thermal efficiency.

  • Energy Efficient Design: Airtight construction and high-performance insulation help reduce heating and cooling costs, ensuring comfort in all seasons.

  • Complete Pod Kit: Includes SIP panels, SIP joining splines, C24 structural timbers, UPVC windows and doors, Thermowood external cladding, treated timber feature panels, rubber roof system with trims and adhesive, and all necessary fixings.

  • Self-Build Ready: Straightforward to assemble with detailed instructions included. Professional installation services are also available across the UK.

SIPs, or Structural Insulated Panels, are advanced building materials made from a rigid insulating foam core sandwiched between two layers of structural board. In the Pill Pod, these panels form the core of the walls, roof, and floor.

What does this mean for you?

  • High structural strength - The average lifetime of these panels are 50 years.

  • Faster build times - panels slot together making it simple to build.

Planning Permission & the Caravan Act

One of the major advantages of the Pill Pod is that it has been designed to comply with the Caravan Act, which means that in many cases, planning permission may not be required.

Under the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 and the Caravan Sites Act 1968, certain structures that qualify as “caravans” - including static pods like the Pill Pod - can be sited without formal planning consent, particularly when used as ancillary accommodation within the garden of a main dwelling.

However, planning regulations can vary, so it's always worth checking with your local authority. However, thanks to its compliance with the Act’s size and mobility requirements, the Pill Pod is a strong candidate for use without the need for a full planning application.
