Accessories Explained

There is an abundance of accessories that can be purchased alongside your Clementi pizza oven, but what do they do, and which accessories are right for you?

Below is a guide on all of the accessories we offer with the Clementi pizza ovens:

6-Piece Accessory Kit:

Including the below accessories, this is the perfect bundle for new pizza oven owners:

  • 12″ Pizza Peel (anodised aluminium blade, 100cm)
  • Turning Peel (100cm)
  • Brush (with rotatable head for ease of use, 100cm)
  • Ash Rake (100cm)
  • Rocking Pizza Cutter
  • Dough Cutter

Waterproof Covers:

Protect your pizza oven all year round and significantly extend it's lifetime. If you plan on keeping your pizza oven outside, then we recommend you purchase a cover.

They come in two sizes, one to cover just the pizza oven, and one for the pizza oven and compact stand.

Compact Stands:

These stands support the oven only, providing a stable base for your pizza oven. They include a side shelf and a wood storage shelf underneath, as well as two wheels allowing you to move it with ease.

Prep Stand:

This stand can accommodate a range of Clementi oven models, including the Clementino, 60×60, and 80×60 ovens. Pizza ovens aside, it provides a workspace for food preparation.

Additionally, the wheels provide mobility, making movement of the stand easy.

  • Dimensions: 180cm wide x 77cm deep

Heat Resistant Gloves:

If you don't have a pair already, these are essential. Pizza ovens are renowned for their extremely high heat, so it is crucial to protect yourself when using them.

Bamboo Prep Board:

Made from high quality bamboo, it is durable and makes prepping your pizza that much easier. The metal handle on the side makes for easy carrying

  • Dimensions: 45cm x 48.5cm x 1.8cm

Multi Cook System:

This system allows you to cook a variety of foods, such as meats, fish, vegetables and much more.

The handle allows you to safely insert and remove the cooking system with ease, and there is a built in drip tray that catches juices and liquid from your food, allowing you to protect the firebricks and reuse all of that flavour.

Install it into the wall with screws, and put the pieces together with the built-in fixing points, which also act as stable moving points, so you can direct the multi-cook platform into your oven without needing to stand there and hold it.

Gas (Dual Fuel) vs Wood

There are 2 types of pizza oven - wood fired, and gas fired (also known as dual fuel). Below is a guide on which option is right for you

Gas-Fired Pizza Ovens

Gas-fired models offer the best of both worlds, as they can be run on gas for speed and convenience or switched to wood for traditional flavour. They heat up quickly, maintain a steady temperature with minimal effort, and are simple to use even for beginners. The main drawback is cost, as gas-fired ovens are more expensive, but the flexibility and ease of use make them a popular choice for busy households.

Pros:

  • Can use both gas and wood

  • Fast heat-up times and precise temperature control

  • Easy to use and maintain steady heat

Wood-Fired Pizza Ovens

Wood-fired ovens are the classic choice, providing an authentic cooking experience and the distinctive smoky flavour that many people love. They are generally more affordable and create a rustic outdoor cooking atmosphere. They do, however, require more time and attention to light, manage, and clean.

Pros:

  • Authentic wood-fired flavour

  • Lower cost compared to gas models

  • Traditional cooking experience and atmosphere

Which One Should You Choose?

If you value convenience, speed, and flexibility, a gas-fired oven is worth the investment, especially if you want the option of using wood when it suits you. If you prefer the authentic ritual of cooking with wood, and want to keep costs lower while still enjoying delicious results, then a wood-fired oven is the way to go.

Not Just Pizza

Although 'Pizza' is in the name, pizza ovens are in fact extremely multi-faceted. Almost anything you can cook in the oven, you can also do in a pizza oven. Check out some of these recipes below:

Cooking aside, they also radiate a lot of warmth, making it a great outdoor heater! Once fired up, the oven’s retained heat creates a cosy focal point for gatherings, keeping everyone comfortable.
